- During life, it is common to encounter extremely familiar situations; like the scent of a perfume you used to wear, playing an old song that your grandparents listened to in the mornings, or even the smell of freshly baked cake that spreads throughout the house.
- These sensations are in our subconscious, yet still lost among many other memories that are not accessed frequently. Nonetheless, any of these emotions that evoke a familiar sensation are felt in a comforting way, like a direct hug to the soul.
- Unlike new, completely unexplored sensations, which cause a chill that goes beyond the belly, freezing the spine.
