Chapter 24

• Victoria got up to close the yellow curtains after Damiano complained that the brightness was hurting his eyes. Before closing the windows completely, she observed families enjoying themselves as they walked in the field where the hotel was located. One family, in particular, with a couple and their daughter who seemed to be about five years old. It was a beautiful Sunday, perfect for an outing like this.
• However, for the redhead, her schedule was limited to taking care of Damiano, even against her will, as he was burning with fever. He wasn't completely conscious, and only occasionally had moments of lucidity where he could communicate clearly.
• The only times he managed to communicate with Victoria, he asked for a glass of water, or a pain reliever, and apologized. He didn't specify the reasons exactly, but it wasn't necessary. His behavior since they arrived at this new place showed all the remorse he felt, and his desperation to please Victoria through his actions made it clear that he was not happy with his behavior.
