Chapter 41 Thea, You’re Under Arrest
- There was a dangerous gleam in Ethan’s eyes as he demanded, “What did you just say?”
- “I said, I don’t like Miss Cordelia as much as I like Miss Thea! However, it’s not as if you would ever take my opinions into consideration anyway, Father, and I’m just making a passing remark, that’s all. You could always pretend that you didn’t hear it. Whatever happened tonight was my fault, so please stop pinning the blame on Miss Thea, and please also don’t fire her. I promise I’ll be on my best behavior from now on.” With that, Benedict doubled over as he bowed apologetically before Ethan. After having done so, he turned and left the study with a forlorn expression.
- Staring at the crestfallen little guy, Ethan felt his chest tighten. A grim expression was etching itself onto his face as his eyes darkened since there was no telling what he could be thinking at that moment.
