Chapter 37 A Gift for Her
- Thea was already down with a mild cold, but the heady perfume of the roses tickled her sensitive nose and caused her to break off mid-sentence with a sneeze, which was followed by another in quick succession. She hurriedly covered her mouth as she coughed, not wanting to spread the virus to the little boy.
- However, the little boy grew anxious about her onset of a cold and quickly tugged on the hem of her shirt. “Are you unwell, Miss Thea?” he asked with concern, his voice soft and sweet.
- “I’m fine. It’s just a small cold, that’s all.”
