Chapter 36 A Case of Mistaken Identity
- Startled, Thea hastily withdrew her hand and spun around to see Gregory walking toward her with a bouquet of stunning red roses. He wore a solemn expression as he pulled her away from the little boy, then shot her a wary look. “This happens to be Young Master Benedict!” he said in reference to the little boy.
- He had her wrist in a vise-like grip, and she winced at the pain that pulsated through her arm. When she managed to wrangle her arm free from his hold, she flushed and apologized immediately, saying, “I’m sorry, I must have had the wrong person. I’m sorry.”
- At that moment, the little boy heard the commotion behind him and turned around in his seat. His eyes lit up at the sight of Thea, and he called out cheerily, “Miss Thea!”
