- "Good." Ethan looked at the patch of grass on his right. "On the count of three, jump. Try your best to roll into the grass. That should minimize the impact."
- Thea nodded. This was no time to argue, after all. The car kept driving ahead, and it was almost time to jump, but Thea froze. "Wait. What about you?"
- "I'll be fine." Ethan looked tense, and the look on his face was dark. "Remember what I told you. Try your best to protect your head, and get to the town ASAP. They won't do anything when there's a crowd around."
