Chapter 199 He Got Her Drunk
- Thea and Liam's meal had only just begun when it was over. Then, Ethan took Thea to a restaurant that he often went to and he also opened a bottle of red wine. She had actually consumed a little bit of wine when she was with Liam earlier. Since she knew she was not a good drinker, she refused to drink the alcohol at first, but after the waiter had introduced the red wine with an exceptionally low alcohol content, she decided to give it a taste.
- The taste was sweet and not as astringent as ordinary red wine and it seemed to have the fragrance of fruits, so Thea couldn't help but take a few more sips. As her focus was fixed on the wine, she didn't notice the darkness that swept across Ethan's eyes. What she didn't know was that the wine’s aftereffects were great even though its alcohol percentage was insignificant.
- Throughout the meal, Ethan took several phone calls which were all about business. As for Thea, she silently sliced the steak into pieces for him before she replaced them on his plate. When he saw her doing this, he flashed a heated look at, but she pretended not to see it. Nevertheless, she suddenly thought that if she really left Trentworth forever with her children, they would no longer have contact between them, right? For some reason, she suddenly felt melancholic as she thought about this.
