Chapter 50
- I kept shut not missing the sigh that escaped him shortly after I sealed my lips. He pulled up before a gated property, dug out his phone, and with a few taps on the device the gates slid open revealing a gravel path.
- I peeked out the window as he maneuvered the car in with the gate sliding close, typical of him not to have someone manning the gate, he hated people.
- The car tires crunched against the gravel as he drove on, the light from the street lamps illuminated the area revealing a view of mowed lawns on each side of the path with neatly trimmed bushes at the edges and a few topiaries of forms that I couldn't make out were situated within the lawns.
