Chapter 177

• The ride home was quiet. Orian was seated far away from me at the edge of his seat, his hand leaning on his lap the other one turned up cradling his face as he stared into space. I just sat still cradling a sleeping puppy in my lap. I wanted to talk to him but he looked like he'd tell me to shut up at the moment and so I stayed quiet.
• We got to the castle with the carriage drawn into the premises. We highlighted, and he got the door for me which gave me hope that his mood must have lightened and I know what Hector had said must have caused his moodiness. He settled the coachman and sent him on his way before making his way into the house and I followed suit.
• He went straight to the kitchen as soon as we entered, I didn't follow him. I went up to stairs to my room to lay puppy Orian in her bed before coming back down for him.
