• I stood up from his lap and moved to face him, my thighs on either side of him and I reached out my hands taking his face in my palms and bringing his head up to face me, his eyes met mine not looking as bright as they did earlier and I felt guilty as I knew me bringing up his past must have triggered his bad memories and made him lose some of the light he possessed earlier.
• "Orian." I licked my lips stroking my thumbs against his cheek and he smiled giving me his cute dimples and my reflex made me dip my hands in the indents making him laugh, "I love you."
• The air shifted, the atmosphere changing and his smile vanished but I couldn't tell exactly how he felt inside from our further strengthened mate bond. It seemed he was excited yet conflicted and confused.
