Chapter 285
- Luca’s POV
- I climbed up the stairs and was in front of the bedroom door after a few minutes, and I paused before the door for a few seconds and used that time to drag in a deep breath into my lungs, and then I let it out really slowly. I repeated the motion a few times until I could feel the urgency that had gotten intense on my way upstairs start to slowly dwindle away. I puffed out a small breath and pushed my fingers into my hair, panting a little at the next moment. Once I was sure that I wasn’t feeling driven by an intense urgency, I lifted my hand and placed it on the door Knob, and then I turned it and pushed the door open. I made my way into the room and pushed the door close behind me instantly, noticing that the lights were turned on to the brightest ones in here, which was very rare. It was unusual because I didn’t see the use of those bright lights most times and tend to be quite contented with the dim and led ones… but I just know that Sofia had turned these ones one probably because of one of her books that she was reading.
- A quick glance at the bed proved me right, because right there on one or the pillows, was an opened book, and beside it was where she had placed her phone at.
