Chapter 141

• Luca’s POV
• I pushed the door closed behind me as soon as I had made my way into the house and I pulled the door shut, as I pushed my way away from the door and started to make my way deeper into the house. I paused at the middle of the hallway and toed off my shoes, before moving the shoes to the side of the hallway, and continuing my walk down the hallway. I paused outside the entrance of the sitting room and stared into it, and my eyes landed on Sofia almost immediately.
• I felt my mouth dry up slowly, and my throat bobbed on an empty swallow motion, and I stared into the back of her head intently, wondering why I had been so eager to see her tonight.
