Chapter 4 Bad Blood

• She knew that she could not win against him, so she would not challenge him. She just wanted to talk about getting a divorce with him. She came to his study, and the door was half closed. She was about to knock on the door, but she overheard him speaking.
• "How’s the investigation on that night?" Two months ago, he was drugged after participating in a party. And he accidentally had sex with an unknown woman. When he was awake, the woman was gone. He was furious about what happened, and he thought that the conspiracy was over. He ordered Eddy Griffin to investigate the woman’s identity on that day itself. Unfortunately, on Craig’s way back home that night, a truck lost control and dashed through his path. His seat was severely damaged, and his driver lost his life on the spot. His head was injured, and he went into a coma. Meanwhile, the truck driver did not fasten his seat belt, so he was dead in the car accident too. Recalling all of these, he felt like it was all planned. They made him let his guard down, thinking that sleeping with a stranger was their entire plan, but actually the car accident was the main plan to take his life.
• "The truck driver was diagnosed with gastric cancer three months ago. Before the car accident, someone opened a bank account for him and gave him three million dollars." Eddy was reporting to Craig, and he showed him all the evidence that he managed to find.
• "Find me the culprit at all costs! I want to let them know the consequences of trying to murder me!"
• Eddy was intimidated by his coldness, and he replied, "Yes, Mr. Ramirez!"
• Suddenly, Craig said, "And the woman from the Ignite Hotel—I suspected she was working with the culprit. I want to find her too! Ha, ha! How dared she sleep with me? I will make her doubt her life!" It could be heard that he hated that woman a lot.
• Suddenly, he heard some noise outside the door. He snorted, "Who is it?"
• And Eddy trotted out to catch whoever was standing outside. "It’s you?" Eddy sounded surprised. He caught Gloria. And her face was full of surprise and disbelief.
• Two months ago, in the Ignite Hotel... I can’t believe he’s there too! And he sounded exactly like that man! And I can tell that he had sex with a woman from their conversation! Is there such a coincidence? It’s not just her assumption; she was sure that he was that man!
• He walked toward her as she stared at him in shock. He raised his eyebrow, seeing that she was here, and he threatened her by saying, "You killed my dog, and I looked past it. Yet, here you are coming to me by yourself." If it were not for Maria, he would have thrown her to the mountain with the wolves.
• Listening to his tone, it sounded like the dogs’ lives were important and hers were not worth a cent. How can such an asshole appear in the world? I never thought that someone would be as vicious as him.
• She had been taking good care of him for the past month. She might not be the sole reason for him waking up, but she did put in a lot of effort to take care of him. As for the other night at the hotel, he dragged her into the room and forced himself on her. And now it seemed that he thought someone was planning this on purpose.
• She was totally enraged as she gritted her teeth and glared at him murderously. She said slowly, "Craig Ramirez, I should have strangled you to death when you were still in a coma!
• Her words had totally enraged him.
• Ever since he woke up from the coma, he found that the so-called relatives and workers actually had their own intention, which was to inherit his wealth. If he did not wake up this time, the Ramirez family would be fully broken apart. And all his efforts in building the family would be in vain. Because of their intentions, Craig decided to go after each of them in the past week, and it scared the people of the Ramirez family and also the Bondion Group.
• After what had happened, it made him lose even more faith in the people around him. And Gloria’s words were reminding him of it! He glared at her deadly face, and he snorted, "It seemed like you shouldn’t have gone easy on me!"
• She could sense his murderous intention, and before she could react, he strangled her neck so hard that the skin of her neck went pale. She was slowly lifted off the ground, and her eyesight was getting blurry. She felt that she might be ascending into the sky. And she was not willing to lose her life in his hands!
• She used whatever strength she had left to punch and kick him; it seemed like she was trying to bring him down with her. Yet her struggles were nothing to him, as they did not hurt at all. He even chuckled coldly at her attempts. Maybe because of her suffocation and drastic changes in mood, she suddenly felt her stomach churning, and something was rushing up to her throat. and she vomited on the spot.
• Craig was taken aback, and he shockingly withdrew his hands. When he realized what was on his face, he took a few steps back in disgust, as he had a severe obsession with cleanliness. There was almost fire burning in his eyes. "Gloria Chavez, I want to f*cking kill you!"
• She was worried that this devilish man would pull out a handgun from his pocket and send her to the afterlife. She did not dare stay any longer; she ran back to her room as she was gasping heavily. And she locked the bedroom door. After breathing in the air, her senses came back to her mind, and she started to analyze the situation now.
• Maria made her wed with Craig just to bring good luck to his condition; now that he was awake, she should not have much to do here. And what was more, Craig and her seemed to be two different individuals from two worlds; it was impossible for them to become a couple for real. She should not be in the Ramirez family now, but she did not know what to do with her father if she ever left. Her father was put in a hospital with Maria’s men guarding him; she could not possibly bring him to go with just her! So, she made up her mind; she should give things a try. Maria just got home, and when she saw the bruises on Gloria’s neck, she immediately went into the study and reprimanded Craig. She then promised Gloria compensation.
