Chapter 14 Red Wedding

• He made some sort of noise to reply to her. And she did not get his reply. But she knew that she would never admit to things she did not do!
• In the middle of the night, Craig brought Gloria, who had gone missing for half the day, home.
• The lights of the manor were still on, and Amy was shocked to see the two of them. "Mr. Ramirez and Mrs. Ramirez! "Were the two of you attacked by animals?"
• He put Gloria down and answered, "I'm alright; ask Mr. Brown to bandage her."
• Her wound was deep; any more delay might lead to deep scarring.
• "Mr. Ramirez, your hand..."
• "It's nothing. Has grandma woken up yet?" He asked Amy.
• Amy replied, "Madame Ramirez was awake at ten o'clock, and she's worried about you two." "You should bring the good news to her!"
• She also looked at Gloria when she said it, and Gloria felt the warmth, as Maria still cared about her.
• Craig trotted upstairs. Allen arrived shortly, and he hurriedly cleaned and bandaged Gloria’s wound. When she knew that he had to sew her wound, she immediately said, "Mr. Brown, I'm allergic to anesthesia, so I don't need it." She was worried that the drug would affect her baby.
• Allen asked worriedly, "Mrs. Ramirez, it will hurt this way; can you endure it?"
• She asked Amy for a towel, and she stuffed it into her mouth. She then looked at Allen as if she were telling him that she was ready.
• Allen was sewing her wounds, and she did not even moan once. They did not know how long had passed, but Allen sighed with relief when he was done with it. "Mrs. Ramirez, it’s done."
• She gave him an appreciative look, and she slept. She had a lot of dreams at night, and she dreamt that she was happily playing with her parents in their house back then; she saw her mother hugging her; and she dreamt about the kidnapper that ruined her family; he stabbed her mother on her chest; and she dreamt about her relatives that humiliated and tortured her.
• Her face was full of tears when she woke up. A maid was wiping her body beside her. The maid, Linda, was happy to see her wake up. "Mrs. Ramirez, you’re awake! Do you feel better now?"
• Gloria secretly wiped her tears away and sat up from the bed. She was dizzy, as if she had slept for a very long time. "How long did I sleep this time?"
• "Mrs. Ramirez, you've been asleep for two days."
• Gloria subconsciously touched her tummy, and she relaxed when she felt that the baby was still inside her. "The status…"
• "Mrs. Ramirez, the truth was out. Mr. Ramirez investigated and found out that Rose was behind it; she purposely destroyed the statues and framed them on you in order to chase you out of the Ramirez family."
• She was stunned and asked, "How did Craig settle it?"
• Linda answered in a lowered voice, "Mr. Ramirez was furious, and Madame Ramirez was disappointed. They forbade Rose from stepping foot inside the manor. And the stocks of their family were bought over by Mr. Ramirez; they had nothing to do with the Bondion Group from now on!"
• Gloria was silent for a while, and she chuckled, realizing how good Craig was! He was removing Tucker Ramirez's, his uncle's, power in the Ramirez family. Everyone knew that Tucker was the one who fought to inherit the Bondion Group back then.
• Tucker was out of the Board of Directors, and he was only a deputy manager now. He might not have moved much in recent years, but he was a sly man who might go against Craig again. Craig totally destroyed his dream and has secured his position in the Bondion Group now.
• Hence, he rescued me in the forest; fighting off the boar and snake were all his tactics, and I just happened to be part of his plan! She could see his intention clearly, but she did not expose him. After all, she had nothing to do with the Ramirez family. His plan actually did a favor to her; he saved her and her reputation.
• "How’s grandma doing?" Gloria asked.
• Linda answered happily, "Madame Ramirez’s condition is not severe; after doing rehabilitation for quite some time, she should be able to move normally in no time. And she was very concerned about you; she had visited you a lot in the past two days."
• Maria was someone fair, and after knowing that she had misunderstood Gloria, she treated her even better now. If Gloria did not know that Craig was a playboy and also a devil, she would really be living in this made-up fantasy, and she would think that the Ramirez family was where she belonged. But she was clear that everything and everyone here were all passersby to her. She would soon leave this place.
• A few days later, she was sunbathing with Maria in the front yard. And she saw Eddy walking toward them with a blue gift box. He greeted Maria and said to Gloria, "Mrs. Ramirez, is your leg recovering okay?"
• She was shocked at him acknowledging her as Craig’s wife, and she replied, "Yes, thanks for caring."
• Eddy then said, "It’s good to hear this. Mr. Ramirez invites you to a banquet with him; this is the dress that he has prepared for you."
• Her heart sank; she knew that Craig must have had bad intentions for her. "I don’t want to attend any banquets." She knew that it must be a red wedding.
• Maria burst into laughter and said, "Gloria is shy now. It’s rare for Craig to participate in a banquet; you should go with him." And she leaned closer to Gloria and said, "He’s going to formally introduce you to the public; it means that he has accepted you!"
• Gloria forced herself to smile. I’m so ‘thankful’ for it, but I don’t need it.
• Maria was excited, and she watched the maids change her into the beautiful dress. Gloria tried to get herself out of this situation by saying, "Grandma, look at the bandage on my leg! People might think that Craig physically abused me. It’s better if I don’t go." She was not right because he had been abusing her ever since he woke up from a coma!
• "It’s okay; our family doesn’t care about what others think. Gloria, as the woman at the head of the Ramirez family, you should be more firm. Just do it!" Maria patted her hand and convinced her. Gloria could not argue with her words.
• Eddy fetched her to the entrance of the Ignite Hotel; this place reminded her about how messy the night was between her and Craig. She felt uneasy. Yet she had no choice but to face it now. She wondered what kind of trick Craig had up his sleeve.
• Once she got out of the car, she heard someone say, "Ha, ha, it’s really you. Gloria Chavez, how dare you show yourself here with your ugly face?"
• Kelly regretted not marrying into the Ramirez family ever since Craig woke up. She could have been his wife, and she could have owned the Bondion Group too!
• She got word from her friend that Craig would be at the banquet tonight, so she used her connections to get an entry pass. She dressed up just to seduce him. She had been waiting for the whole day at the entrance, yet the person getting down the luxurious car was not Craig, but Gloria! She almost could not recognize her as she was wearing the latest Channel dress this season; it was the only dress in this word. It could be seen that Gloria was doing great.
• Gloria sneered, "My husband wants me to accompany him; do you have any objection?"
