• Despite him shifting back, he still did not open his eyes. In fact, his human form looked a lot more wretched than his wolf form. His skin was pale with colourful bruises and a good number of bandages. Yet, I was thankful to see the rise and fall of his chest. I could put a finger underneath his nostrils and feel his breath. He was no longer on the verge of death.
• “As expected of the Alpha Prince.” Doctor Lorenzo was all smiles. “His recovery is fast. I had feared the worst but his wolf is powerful. I am glad. Miss, you can rest assured he will be back to full health in three days or less,” he informed me.
• Three days? I still had to wait three days to see his stupid smirk? I forced a smile at Doctor Lorenzo who was almost bouncing on the balls of his feet with my father who continued to look irritated at the door.
