Chapter 85

• It was chaotic but the person who stirred up the chaos had become elusive. It had been three days since my father last came home and no one, including Mr. Kim, knew where he had gone. Ever since the rumour spread that my father would support Koa to be the Alpha King, I had only seen him a handful of times and he had refused to discuss the matter with me. It was as if he believed that if he kept me out, I would naturally lose all interest in the matter. The opposite happened. The more he tried to keep me out, the more curious I became. Thus, despite the complete silence I received from Koa’s end, I prepared to write him a letter.
• He must be too busy to think of me. Now that he had my father’s support, he must feel there was no reason to write to me. His incessant letters suddenly stopped and I did not even glimpse his shadow in over a week, not to talk of his face. It left me feeling irritated.
• After repeatedly chasing after me and vowing to make me fall in love with him and become his Luna, Koa suddenly did not reach out to me anymore. Now and then, I hear his name associated with one random woman or another. He was still working hard to clean his image and connect with other Alphas but he did not have time even to write me one letter. How could such a deceitful person exist? It was a blow to my pride.
