Chapter 63

  • “Perse.”
  • I hid my disgust with a tight smile. Smiling at Cassius became a lot more difficult with each day that passed. The way he looked at me these days with eyes full of sorrow and devastation had me wondering if he had eaten something wrong. Did he feel so guilty about me being stranded with Koa? Where did the Cassius who killed me go? That man was not capable of guilt so his sudden morose expression made me itchy. It was an expression I was unused to and right now, so close to my goal of pulling Cassius down, I could not tolerate any new variable.
  • Cassius must lose everything and at his lowest, I would end it all for him. Just as he did to me.
