Chapter 52

• I woke with a start. Darkness transformed to light in the blink of an eye and the first thing my mind zeroed on was the cold, then the throbbing in my head and finally, my parched throat. I sat upright and blinked.
• “Oh, you are awake.” Turning my head caused a lot of pain but I did it. I turned my head to see a man with dark hair and blue eyes staring at me.
• “Alpha Koa,” I called his name in a hoarse tone. “Where are my clothes?”
