Chapter 8 The Way He Looks At Me

  • Milena's POV
  • I don't think there was ever a time I was this happy. Julian wound his arms around me possessively with his head in the crook of my neck. I wish we can stay like this forever.
  • He entwines our hands when he disengages from the hug smiling. What have I gotten myself into?
  • This man isn't good for my health but I like the way he looks at me not with lust or chivalry but with affection like he wants to hide me from the world. The way he looks at me tells me he is planning on taking me and I might let him. I'm afraid of what he's making me think.
  • There has never been a time I wanted canal knowledge of a man. I don't lust after men but with Julian I find myself breaking that rule. It's like my body recognizes him like it's his.
  • I don't care about morals I do want this man. I want every part of him like I want to milk him dry.
  • OMG. Do I even want to know what that means?
  • Isabella says it alot. I smile my million dollars smile at him embarrassed to hear my own thought.
  • " Hey, look at me" he coos bringing his fingers to my chin to lift it up. I cringe under his gaze. I hope he feels the same way. All men wants women for their body right?
  • I hope he's the type cos he has succeeded in getting under my skin and I want more perhaps a night with this overzealous young man and if a night won't cut it, we can keep it up until one of us gets tired. I'm certain it's going to be me.
  • I don't commit. Scratch that he's just too plain for me and I hate plain. I'm too good for a plain man. Cooking dinner for the family, doing the laundry, going grocery shopping, visiting his old cranky parents, putting up the good wife charade and kids. Did I tell you I hate kids? Changing diapers, keep late nights because he can't afford a nanny.
  • I don't even remember why I am talking about children. Where was I ?
  • " I'm sorry. I need some air" I lie but he doesn't probe for answers instead he stepped out of the way.
  • " Thanks" I walk away from him to the amusement park towards his bike. I'm confused. The fresh air did help calm my nerves. My pheromones as well. The tingling sensation in my core isn't there anymore. Moist but better.
  • I must have been transfixed in my thoughts for I didn't see him walk by.
  • " Are you feeling alright? I veered around to find him staring at me with concern. He's worried about me.
  • What a Man.
  • " Yeah. Let's go and watch that movie" I suggest holding his hands. He smiles, picked an helmet from the bike and secures it on my head casting a glance at me for time to time.
  • I wonder what he was thinking.
  • The ride to the cinema was fast. He wasn't lying when he said he was a fast rider. I think I like bikes now if that's even possible.
  • With a bowl of popcorn in my hand and a milkshake on the other, we were seated on the first row. Julian refused to buy one for himself so I'm feeding him with mine.
  • " Ahhh" I tell him as a gentleman, he opens his mouth so I can feed him. Is this how dating feels? No wonder girls used to fight over boys back in highschool.
  • Too bad I saw it as a distraction then besides, most of them ran away after learning who my dad is. Trevor was the only one who got bold and I broke his fragile heart. I feel sorry about it now.
  • Yup! I'm that ruthless.
  • " Milkshake? I ask lifting the straw to his mouth for him to sip. I'll give anything to relive this day. We're cool as long as he doesn't ask for a relationship..
  • Definitely a no from me.
  • " Do you want more popcorn? I ask him expecting him to be irritated but he smiles shaking his head. He really didn't like popcorn but I can't help but use it against him..
  • " Just one. I can't eat this by myself" he opens his mouth once again. I stuff his mouth with popcorn. I don't watch movies. I'm here to watch him. He didn't seem to mind. Just how much did he spend on me today? His whole year's savings? Perhaps his last months pay.
  • I'm going to pay for the meals on our next date. Oops. Did I just say that? We're definitely having another date.
  • " You're something Milena. Wanna know what the movie is all about? I pouts looking at him from my lashes embarrassed. It didn't stop him from narrating it though.
  • " It's about a pauper who fell in love with a prince but later got amnesia when things were going well for her. They're still trying to jog her memory" he narrates looking down to meet my eyes that were glued to his lips.
  • There's this accent accentuated to his speech. I don't know which country is that.
  • " What a lovely storyline" he chuckles. I hope he doesn't notice my lack of interest. The only reason I listen to him is because of the way it sounded on his lips. I think I have to go on more movie dates to hear it often.
  • " It is if you'll just look" I poke his straight nose pushing my milkshake to his mouth to avoid his movie antics.
  • I can't believe we just met yet it felt like we knew each other for a long time. We may be different in some ways but different is good.
  • I hope so.
  • " So? He begins halting to stare at me. We just finished watching the boring movie. How do people look at the screen for long?
  • " So? I asked rhetorically making him chuckle.
  • " Will you save my number Milena? I squint my eyes wondering what he meant. Oh! He meant the number I wiped off after deciding to put it behind me.
  • Do I still have it?
  • He stretches his hands like he can read my mind " I'll type it in. I can drop you off" he suggests. I subconsciously handed him my falcon, watching him type his digits. His phone rang. He must have used it to call his phone which vibrated in his pants pockets.
  • " I'll call you" he tells me bringing me from my fantasy world.
  • " Please pick my call" bet I will that is if I don't call him first.
  • " Come, I'll drop you off" he tells me running a hand through his hair like he didn't know what to do with them. Maybe I should tell him to put them on me.
  • Jesus Christ! Who said that?
  • "No, I can find my way home. Thanks for the day" I'm a smiling mess at this point. I think my lips is going to hurt tomorrow morning if I keep up with it. I can't stop myself from smiling at him. I think I can count the number of times I have smiled this year yet I have done so more than a hundred time today.
  • Are you sure he's not an alien? This isn't ordinary.
  • " Okay. Let me put you on a taxi then" oh we're still talking about my ride. Okay. That can work. A taxi is fine. What? A taxi? I brought my car.
  • " No need. I brought my car. It's at the parking lot in the post office" he chuckles. Yeah, I was losing it. The sooner I go home the better for me.
  • " I'll take you there"
