Chapter 48 Going Soft

• They didn't say a word to me until the car stopped at the hospital entrance. Mom hurried inside to fetch the staff of the hospital. Soon, a stretcher was rolled over to the car, and grandpa was lifted on it. That was the only thing I saw as I have been sitting at the reception for two hours now waiting for my family to exit the room.
• My mind replayed the event that led to this unfortunate situation. I couldn't help but think it was my fault. Had I agreed to attend the said dinner without yelling at them and calling them names. Had I overlooked Julian's disguise? It's like the entire world is against me. I was finally winning an argument and grandpa had to have a heart attack.
• Though Mom gave first aid before we arrived he still hasn't recovered. I can't remember the last time someone got sick in my family besides Mom's occasional attack which happened a few years ago. Well, that's what I know.
