• We're going to sit face to face while he takes glory in my bereft state. He'd take satisfaction in seeing me so ashamed and contemptuous. How will I survive the humiliation? I can't believe they're still making me face him after what I just told them. I can't believe this. I'm going to save myself from the embarrassment.
