• The Master took me to my chamber and told me that he would send someone soon to help me get ready for the evening event. I tried to tell him that I was more than capable of getting ready for this even on my own. Yet he would not hear a word that I was saying. The way he spoke about this situation told me a lot about his relationship with his siblings. He was not happy about it at all. I could not understand his grumbling as he left me.
• I paced the room after the door had been locked. Everything replays itself in my mind. The necklace was hidden under the garments. The sudden surge of energy. And the lack of communication between me and the land. Then there were the other issues: the cat-and-mouse game that seemed to be going on with the Master and myself. As much as it was amusing I had to keep my head in the game and my sight not on what was hidden behind his cloak. Sex is sex, it is a way to relieve stress, and there is no commitment at all. When it comes to the Master, my mind has gone to the gutter more times than I care to admit.
