Chapter 24

• When I wake up the next morning, Xander is still asleep next to me. It’s 6am and I need to get ready before Kyle shows up but I can’t help but linger a little and watch Xander sleep. Damn! He’s gorgeous under normal circumstances but shirtless he is a whole other kind of gorgeous. I have a huge grin on my face as I change into my workout gear and leave the room with one last backward glance at my sleeping husband. He was there for me last night when I was feeling pretty low and alone. He made me feel important. Special even. Something I’ve never felt in any relationship before and yes I know we are not in a “real" relationship but I’m pretty darn grateful for the way he made me feel last night and the fact that he’s still here. Maybe my prayers are being answered after all.
• Kyle is already in the gym playing with the pups when I enter. He looks up when I walk in and smiles. He’s told me to leave Xander to him but hasn’t really given me any details.
