Chapter 78 Escape

• Allison looked out of the window, the moon shone brightly in the sky, and it was the only source of illumination for her as there seemed to be no lighting in the house. She saw it as a good thing though, because they would not notice her absence easily. She listened to know if she would hear any sound, but everywhere was dead quiet. It was as if she is the only one there. She took off her slippers and carefully climbed to sit on the window. Looking ahead, she saw thick bushes, it was as if this house was built in the middle of nowhere. If she escaped from here, where would she go? She had no idea where she was. But anywhere was better than there.
• Luckily for her, she sighted a tarred road far ahead. She believed that if she was able to walk there and cross it, she would meet people. She planned on asking them for the direction of the police station, hoping that it would not be too far. Taking deep breaths, she set to carry out her plan. She slowly began to climb down with the help of the woods. The surfaces were rough against her palm, she was sure that she was going to sustain some injuries.
• She clung on to the last wood as she looked down, it was still a bit far, but she was sure that she would be able to jump without getting seriously injured. She let go of the wood and she landed on the ground with a thud. She scurried to the end of the building and peeped to check the other side. There was nobody there. She immediately ran into the bushes as fast as her legs could carry her. It seemed to her as though the road she sighted from the window had been pushed forward, because she continued running and yet, she had not seen it. Her legs began to hurt but she wasn't going to up. Unfortunately, she hit her big toe on a huge stone, she looked down at it and saw that she was bleeding. She wanted to rest but she knew that it was a bad idea. She wanted to leave before they even notice that she was missing.
