Chapter 50
- Narrated by Daniel
- The dinner was quiet for a while. That restaurant was stuffy and tense, and if I had known this beforehand, I wouldn't have brought her here. I didn't care what people thought, but I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable because of their stares and whispers. This kind of place wasn't my thing either, and knowing that she wasn't happy made it even less enjoyable.
- As we walked back along the beach to the house, I decided that maybe Amelia needed to spread her wings a bit while we were here. I saw how she looked longingly at the group of college guys. They were partying and having a good time. I knew that if we continued with what we had, there would be many occasions in our relationship where we would struggle with situations like these. She still had a lot of growing to do, and what kind of man would I be if I didn't help her navigate through them? Giving her a little space might help her better understand her own desires.
