Chapter 47 The Jealousy Of The Sun
- Stavros stared at Kosta as if he had grown two heads, because he never imagined that he would have noticed his feelings. When he realized the attraction he felt for Natalia and how those emotions were growing without him even realizing it, he tried to keep his distance from her because he would never do anything to hurt his friend. Now, discovering that he hadn't pretended enough and that's why Kosta knew, made him uneasy. He didn't want Kosta to believe he was capable of betraying him.
- "I'm sorry, Kostantin... I swear, when I realized it, I fought against that feeling. I resisted and told myself in a thousand different ways that it couldn't be, that I had to extract it from my heart because you didn't deserve that... In fact, I thought I had hidden it in the best way possible. You have no idea how embarrassed I feel."
- "You did a great job," he said with a faint smile. "I'm sure Natalia, or anyone else for that matter, didn't notice... I did because I know you. We've known each other for a long time, our friendship is so deep that we end up knowing each other better than we know ourselves. I'm not judging you or questioning you... I would never do that! I just want you to be there for my family when I can no longer be."
