• Kostantin left the doctor's office and headed to his office. Before taking that step he had decided on, he knew he had to take care of several things, including making a call to his mother and sister, which he planned to do at that moment. He dialed his sister's cellphone and put it on speakerphone. To his relief, he didn't have to wait long because his sister answered on the second ring.
• "Vasil Spyrou!" his sister exclaimed, annoyed because he hadn't communicated with them in a while. She hadn't heard from him in the past few days, and that was her way of letting him know that she wasn't in a good mood and also of teasing him. Before discovering what had truly happened with Natalia, when she called him by his old name, he would get angry and tell her not to call him that because his old self was dead forever. However, that day, when she mentioned his old name, he smiled.
• "Yes, little sister Vasil Spyrou, how are you? How is Athens treating you?" he anxiously inquired about their mother's health.
