Chapter 80 The Kingdom Divided
- The news of our victory at the border outpost spread like wildfire, faster than I could ever have anticipated. At first, it felt like the wind had shifted in my favor, and for a moment, I allowed myself to believe that everything would fall into place. But with every town, every village, and every pack that heard of our success, the tension grew. The kingdom was being torn apart, and I knew deep down that this was just the beginning.
- I stood on the balcony of our makeshift command center in the heart of the Red Moon Pack, staring out over the horizon. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the land. It was beautiful, in a way, but there was nothing peaceful about it. I could feel the rumble of unrest beneath the surface, the nervous energy in the air. - “Are you alright?” Blue’s voice broke through my thoughts, warm and steady as always. He stood beside me, his gaze following mine out toward the distant mountains. His presence was a comfort, but even his usual calm couldn’t ease the gnawing feeling in my stomach.
