Chapter 55 Reconciling The Pack
- The hall was filled with a tense silence, thick as fog, as I entered, flanked by Blue and Grey. Every set of eyes turned toward us, a mix of hope, suspicion, and worry simmering just beneath the surface. News of Nicolai’s betrayal had spread quickly, stirring up old tensions. I knew I couldn’t let the seeds of doubt take root. I needed the pack united.
- At the front of the room, the pack elders were already seated, their expressions unreadable. Alpha Cedric sat with them, his gaze fixed on the table. Despite everything that had happened, there was a hardness in his eyes that reminded me he was still Nicolai’s father, still bound by his own loyalties.
- I cleared my throat, summoning every ounce of strength to steady myself. “Thank you all for coming,” I began, my voice carrying over the murmurs that quickly quieted down. “I know the events of last night have stirred up a lot of questions and fears. I called this meeting because we need to address what happened—together.”
