Chapter 57 The Plot Against The Queen
- The candlelight flickered as I waited, tension tightening every muscle in my body. The room was quiet, save for the low murmur of voices and the occasional creak of floorboards outside. Blue and Grey were beside me, their expressions just as tense as mine, both watching the door with a steely focus. Tonight, we would finally get answers—or so I hoped.

Cedric was one of the few royal spies who had proven loyal to me, willing to risk his life to bring us information from within the royal court. It was a relief to see him, but his guarded expression made me brace for whatever dark news he bore.
- “Cedric,” I whispered, motioning him inside and securing the door. “Thank you for coming.”
