Chapter 38 Remy With A Past

  • I was so excited for the next day that I couldn't contain my thrill about the foreign country that Ghazi was going to take me to since I have never been out of the country. He wouldn't even tell me where we'd be going, saying that it was going to be a surprise. He said that he was picking me up before lunch. We planned to leave early, but then it got postponed because he had a last-minute meeting. He was sorry, though I told him that it was okay that I could use the time to sleep.
  • But it turned out that I only slept for two freaking hours and it annoyed the hell out of me since I decided that I wanted the rest so I'd be refreshed when he picks me up. Knowing that I couldn't get back to sleep, I put on my clothes after deciding to get my favorite creamy coffee and donuts at the coffee shop around the corner. I thought maybe it would take down my excitement a bit. The walk was nice, the morning air was still cool, and everything was quiet. It was still pretty early in the morning.
  • In front of the coffee shop I saw a couple and a kid, the man looked oddly familiar. It was not until he turned around that I recognized him. His eyes looked straight at me while the woman fussed with the kid and she entered the coffee shop with the child that looked just like my dad.
