Chapter 37 Ghazi With A Plan -
- Between work and more work, I was feeling overworked. Yeah. The pressure of being a mob boss can be overwhelming at times. Robyn tries to be the perfect assistant and steer out of my way since I have been prickly all morning. Zal was feeling the blow of my brooding state, he couldn't escape it, not when one of his men had failed epically when the guy panicked and shot at a police officer.
- The new recruit was so green that he thinks joining the crew equals dealing illegal stuff when all he did was guard an old storage unit we had recently purchased for one of our city projects. Zal managed to keep the shooting discreet when he pulled some strings and paid the cop more than enough money after sending the guy to our doctor. Luckily the cop survived the ordeal without a life-threatening injury.
- "Boss, I got this thing handle and Robyn does too. Why don't you take a break for a day or two maybe even a week? Those villas you have are not there for investment alone." My cousin Zal was being a smart ass, but I couldn't help but think about his words hours later.
