Chapter 589 Resolution
- The duo spent the entire night trying to find some sense of warmth they both desperately wanted. Their lives were filled with heartbreak, and only hoped to feel some warmth. They were both covered in cuts and bruises, and had exhausted all of their strength before Freya passed out. It was unsure when Natahniel carried her to the washroom to wash up, before laying her in his arms as she fell asleep. "Awake yet?" said Nathaniel as his breath felt frantic and his voice was a little hoarse from the sharp pain coming from his heart. Freya trembled slightly as she nuzzled her head against his chest before answering. Nathaniel let out a sigh before hugging her tightly. The sky had cleared up from the storm from the previous night as the smell of wet soil and flowers filled the air. The curtains were half drawn as the gentle sun rays outlined Nathaniel's muscles and shoulders. It was covered in bite marks, bruises and scabs. His back was filled with claw marks and it showed the violent bloodlust Freya had last night. However, Freya was not in any better shape than him. Due to her slender build and although she stayed with Nathaniel then, she had Ms. Lovett to prepare three meals for her back at Ocean Villa. But, since Ms. Lovett was absent, she lost a lot of weight. Nathaniel hugged her tighter and felt as if he desperately wanted to pull her into his body. Freya remained silent as they were both exhausted and in pain. Nathaniel laughed and said, "So, you vented all of your hatred, right?"
- Freya dared not look up or at his left shoulder as his stump only symbolized the chipped corner of her heart. "Yeah," replied Freya, which ached Nathaniel's heart as he embraced her tighter before gently kissing her head. His voice sounded gentle and it almost sounded like he was pleading with her.
- "Well then, let's reconcile then, okay?"
