Chapter 237 Photograph
- After getting rid of Taylor, she entered her old home while Taylor glared at her. The villa was renovated by Nathaniel’s men and it looked a lot better and much cleaner than before. Nathaniel had also stationed his men to guard the entrance. Apparently after the Gomez family was destroyed back then, all of their workers had left. That was because Killian had jumped to his death, Freya was charged with murder while her grandparents were involved in an accident. Her grandmother was also paralyzed as a result, while her brother went missing. Her family was all involved in a tragedy in a single night, so their workers decided to leave after that. The guard was surprised to see Freya as it had been three years since she returned home. Apparently, they heard about her relationship with Nathaniel, and dared not stop her. That was because she might end up marrying him someday.
- They were vigilant in serving her since they were serving the woman Nathaniel loved. They dared not bother her as well because offending her would also be unwise. Since her father loved horses, there was a huge painting that her father had commissioned an artist from abroad for. It was a painting of a group of horses and it was still hanging on the huge living room wall, serving as decor. Apparently, the tiles and the handrails were also replaced. However, it seemed that Nathaniel had made sure that memories of her family remained. He did that in order for Freya to not feel like a stranger in her own home. Soon, she went up to her father’s study on the third floor. Recalling her memories, she found the book from the fourth row on the shelf.
- She wandered into her father’s study for fun when she was little once. She accidentally bumped into the shelf, causing her father’s book to fall. It seemed that her father had just read the book, since the pages looked worn out. So, Freya grabbed a stool and carefully took the book out. It was a poetry book and the author was Summer. She carefully opened the book and was greeted by a picture. It was a picture of a couple. She knew that they were a couple because of how intimate they seemed. They had a huge smile and were hugging each other. The man was her father, Killian, but the woman next to her was not her mother. It was none other than Nathaniel’s mother, Valeria.
