Chapter 585 Catching Up
- Nathaniel remained silent for a very long time as his body was trembling slightly. He did not want sympathy from others, especially not from Freya. However, she managed to use his company and the assets his father left for him to corner him like this. He just felt that Freya was incredibly ruthless. He chuckled and said, "I got it a week ago. It's pretty cool, right?" Nathaniel lifted his left arm and looked pretty smug as he flexed his fingers in front of her. It looked pretty agile. If the mechanical hand was not painted black and had the electronics installed, people would think that it was a real hand.
- "It's not bad. I'm pretty sure you spent a lot of money on it, right?" Freya looked serious and seemed as if she was commenting about some random item she bought from a store.
- Nathaniel finally laughed as he said, "It's just a couple hundred thousand dollars. But the main selling point was how realistic it looked, so it's not bad." His left arm was working in unison with his right hand. He picked up an economics magazine and ripped out the most colorful page before folding it into a small piece of paper the size of his thumb. So, Freya watched Nathaniel as he folded two paper roses. It did not take long for him to be done as he handed them over to Freya. Freya was only curious about his hand initially, but when she saw the paper rise, she could not help but be impressed with the current medical technology. I can't believe he managed to fold them! Whoa, it looks just as good as a real hand! Freya reached out to accept the rose, but Nathaniel tapped on her left hand. This stunned her and it seemed that after she injured her left hand, it was unable to fully recover and the changing seasons or fluctuating temperature would cause her hand to be agonizingly painful. Freya would often wear some knitted gloves on her hand to keep warm and when she saw Nathaniel's roses, she reached out with her left hand to accept them as she played with them in her palm. She could not help but be impressed with how nimble his hand was despite getting a prosthetic installed. Soon, the last light of the day came, followed by the impending nightfall that terrorized Nathaniel. Just as the last beam of light was about to fall, Nathaniel looked at Freya. He asked, "When did you start to plan for your revenge?"
