Chapter 5 Robert Reeves

  • Freya looked at Peyton pleadingly and said, "Peyton, please; I'm begging."
  • "We can't win against Nathaniel; I'm already at my worst; once he's bored with me, he might let me go."
  • "What if he accidentally kills you?" Peyton snapped; tears were filling her eyes.
  • "Why are the two of you standing here? Do you still want to work? Get back to your position!" Della finally arrived, and she glared at Peyton.
  • Peyton moved her lips, but she looked into Freya's depressed and devastated eyes.
  • She felt helpless; she wanted to help Freya, but she was too powerless.
  • Freya was being targeted by Nathaniel at the moment. All her income was spent on Freya's mother, Linda. It cost a lot to take care of a coma patient; all the medication fees and nursing care were overpriced. It was unbearably stressful for the two of them.
  • If the medications are stopped, Auntie Linda will be dead.
  • She was an orphan, and she did not want Freya to become one too.
  • Peyton gritted her teeth, and she apologized to Della before getting back.
  • Della glanced at Freya coldly; Freya quickly bowed and said, "Sorry, Ms. Cruz."
  • "Freya, do you know how much trouble you have caused me tonight? You're on your own!" Della snorted and woke up, but she actually sympathized with her.
  • Freya can offend anyone but the devilish man...
  • Freya forced herself to work for another two hours, and finally her shift ended. She clutched her stomach tightly; she was dizzy from the hunger and pain.
  • She staggered to the staff locker room, and she took out a piece of bread from the cabinet. She then walked to the corner of the stairs outside the washroom, and she tore open the package and devoured the bread hurriedly.
  • She was extremely hungry, so she ate too quickly. She accidentally choked on the food, and she coughed until tears streamed down her face.
  • She leaned against the icy wall weakly; she felt like now was similar to her days in prison—difficult and full of torments.
  • She was extremely exhausted, but she would wait for Peyton to go back with her to the rented house.
  • Peyton was supposed to be off work a long time ago, but she was assigned to work in room 607. She did not know when she could be done.
  • She was worried that Peyton might overdo it, so she would purposely wait for her to help her back home.
  • At that moment, Freya did not realize that the security camera had actually moved around for a while.
  • Suddenly, she overheard the chatter and laughter of several women on the other side of the corner.
  • "Peyton will be taught a lesson tonight! She's doomed!"
  • "I know, right? Out of so many people, she went to offend Mr. Reeves."
  • "It was known that Mr. Reeves might accidentally kill the women after having fun with them." And he always covered up the incidents with money."
  • "Don't you know that Peyton stood up from that ugly woman just now? So she has offended Emma, who has been Mr. Reeves' favorite recently."
  • "Ha! The ugly woman must be bringing bad luck upon people, although she used to be the daughter of the Gomez family."
  • Freya abruptly stood up and rushed over to room 607 impulsively.
  • When she was near the private room door, she could hear Peyton's pleading and others' evil laughter.
  • She pushed open the door forcefully; the room was dim, and there were a bunch of rich young men sitting on the leather sofa with young and beautiful models and actresses surrounding them.
  • There was a very fat man sitting in the middle of the sofa.
  • He was the infamous Robert Reeves. He was obese, and he acted psychotically around women. He liked to torture pretty women.
  • He offered a lot of money, but barely any woman dared to serve him.
  • There was a big bucket on the table, and they were filling it up with alcohol. And a slim man was pushing and pressing Peyton's head into it.
  • "Hurry up and finish the alcohol! And these one hundred thousand dollars will be yours!" The people were even cheering on the side.
  • Peyton struggled desperately; she wanted to break free to gasp for air. But her face was being pinned tightly into the bucket again. The alcohol was over her eyes; it seemed like she was suffocating.
  • Freya snapped, and she dashed toward them without hesitation; she crazily pushed the man who was pinning Peyton down.
  • The bucket was knocked over, and Peyton collapsed on the ground, and she was vomiting.
  • Freya breathed a sigh of relief at seeing her still alive.
  • "Mr. Reeves, look at this woman. She might be ugly, but she has a nice body figure. She should be fun to play with!" Emma leaned on Robert and said
  • Freya glared at her, and she realized that Emma was behind Peyton's overtime; she wanted to harm her.
  • Emma took her revenge faster than they expected.
  • Robert lifted her face and commented, "So ugly!"
  • He then kicked Peyton on the ground, and he said, "Drink it now! Didn't you need this money? Hurry up!"
  • "Mr. Reeves, as you see, Peyton is not feeling well now. I'll drink it on her behalf so that nothing will go wrong that might affect your reputation. Do you think it's okay?"
  • Freya quickly stood up for Peyton; she did not want her to be harmed.
  • Usually, such an incident would have alerted Della. And she would be here to settle it and prevent any mortality.
  • But no one came to their rescue; it could only mean that Nathaniel was allowing this to happen to them.
  • Peyton helped her, so that she had become Nathaniel's target too.
  • Robert was taken aback; he did not expect Freya to be brave and straight forward. He was looking for so much fun, and it seemed like it was here.
  • "Hey, you're so ugly!" "But you want to earn a hundred thousand dollars too?"
  • "Yes, Mr. Reeves! I need money; I'm cheap; I'm lacking in money!" She stood miserably in front of him.
  • He burst into laughter and said, "Very well! C'mon, open more wine now!"
  • "All of you stand there, yes. Put the alcohol there! Ha, ha, ha! This is starting to be fun! I like it!"
  • Freya looked at what was happening right in front of her eyes; her face turned pale.
  • Robert's friends spread their legs apart with a smile on their faces. They put a glass of wine underneath their legs, and there was a stack of money next to the glass.
  • "C'mon! Climb over us and drink the wine! Then the money shall be yours! If you climb over ten times, you could earn one hundred thousand dollars! Do you want it? Ha, ha, ha!"
  • "Mr. Reeves, you're so naughty!" Emma pecked his cheek and said, "But I like it!"
  • Freya was stunned until she held her breath.
  • She froze there; everyone was waiting for her to make a fool of herself. They were cursing and saying all sorts of obscene words.
  • "Why are you not climbing? Do it, or your friend has to continue to drink!" Robert broke into laughter, and he was laughing cruelly.
  • She slowly knelt down.
  • "C'mon! Climb over!"
  • "Ha, ha…"
  • Her stomach was cramping up to the point that she might faint; if she drank in such a condition, she might be dead.
  • "Climb now!"
  • Everyone was laughing and applauding.
  • She closed her eyes and slowly climbed toward the first man.
