- I woke up the next morning with a weird feeling. It felt like I’d forgotten something important, like a life-changing dream, but no matter how much I wracked my brain, I couldn’t remember a single dream I’d had the previous night so I chalked it off as one of those Déjà vu moments.
- My schedule for the day was packed and upon getting to my office, I met Daniel. He was the same glaring teen as usual. As much as Daniel hated me, he never shirked his duties. His family had been in charge of the pack during Valens’ absence so he had a lot of information on the workings of the pack, even more than Dahlia who’d been here for five years now.
- “Good morning to you too,” I said when he refused to utter a word as I entered the office. Even then, he refused to take the initiative to greet me. He kept his lips tightly sealed and handed me a stack of paper.
