Chapter 387 Book 4 An Elusive Woman
- Luna Grace was not released. Despite Hawke’s furious threats, she stayed there for three extra days and Dark Moon had to pay a hefty fine to get her out of the dungeons and now they had treason on their record. It was a light punishment compared to what Killian planned but we had to tread carefully with the explosive called Alpha Hawke.
- While all these happened, I tried to speak to Victoria – my mother, but she was more elusive than I expected. It was clear that she was avoiding me. The more days that passed, the more awful and resentful I felt. She abandoned me. The least she could do was to tell me why. Did she not owe me that much considering how much I suffered because of her decisions? I mean, of all the men in this world to be involved with, why did she choose the scum called Hawke?
- “Is there a reason you are ruining the atmosphere with your sneers and frowns?” I snapped at Mary as she moved around with a grumble.
