• Where have you been?” Hazel asked, staring at the man in front of her. Nathan chuckled lightly. After weeks of absence, Nathan had suddenly returned, immediately finding his way to the hospital.
• “I had to go clear my head,” he answered. A couple of days ago was the death anniversary of his mate and pup. Needing space and answers, he had left. Hazel looked at him thoughtfully. He was smiling, but his eyes looked rather sad.
• “I’m sorry I vanished completely; a lot was going on,” he admitted with a sigh. “Have you been okay?” Hazel asked. Nathan only stared at her for a while, giving her a sad smile.
