• She had fainted, and Chester and I quickly rushed to her apartment to check on her. As we made our way, my wolf spoke to me through our connection, "She is weak and pathetic," he said, and I couldn't agree more. I wondered if she really was going to be the mother of my pup. To make matters worse, she annoyed me because she constantly argued with me, something I wasn't used to.
• When we arrived at her apartment, Colin was standing guard at the door. I acknowledged his greeting with a nod, and we entered. We found her on the balcony, and Chester lifted her up and carried her to her bed. As we waited for her to regain consciousness, I couldn't help but feel a sense of claustrophobia. The apartment was so small.
