Chapter 39 Bethany

• CHAPTER 39- BETHANY
• I woke up to the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant call of a bird. The sun had just barely begun to peek over the horizon, casting a soft golden light through the trees. I stretched, my muscles taut and ready for my first day of training. Today was special - I was going to train with Celeste, the mother of the Alpha King. I knew that there was a lot I could learn from her. The day before, we discussed plans and our course of action and we decided that it was best if I trained away from the pack, in the woods, so I could be near nature and understand and attune to my instincts.
• As I got up and made my way to the bathroom, everything that I had found out about myself still felt like a dream. I couldn't believe that I was a werewolf. It was all so overwhelming, but I knew that I needed to focus if I wanted to survive the impending war. I needed answers, but I didn't want to bother anyone now. If I lived to see after the war, I would surely get the answers I was seeking.
