• I heard him call my name once more, followed by a low growl. Despite hearing him, I wasn't quite ready to face him yet. I stopped in my tracks, knowing that I couldn't resist his Alpha voice when he used it to give orders.
• "Why have you been ignoring me?" he asked. I knew he was referring to the last few days when I had been trying my best to avoid him. In the cabin, he was sweet and welcoming, but then he kissed me and said it was a mistake. I felt ashamed for letting him kiss me, but he was the one who initiated it and then acted like he was disgusted by it. I couldn't believe that I had thought he had finally warmed up to me.
