- As I walked through the woods, my mind was racing with anger and hurt. "Stupid, stupid man," I muttered under my breath. Earlier, Duscha had asked me to bring some juice to Ryder's office, but as I wanted to enter his office, I overheard their conversation about my baby. My heart sank as I realized that Ryder's kindness towards me was all just a ploy to get me to give up my child. How could he be so deceitful and manipulative? The thought of it made my blood boil.
- I had thought that Chester was my friend, but now I realized that even he was in on it. He had betrayed my trust, and the realization hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt so alone, and the only thing I wanted to do was get away from these people who had hurt me so deeply.
