• CHAPTER 7- BETHANY
• It had been a day since the incident had taken place. I couldn't help but ponder over the what-ifs. What if the stranger had not shown up? Today, being Sunday, I preferred to stay indoors and take care of myself and my apartment. I gently placed my head on my belly, feeling a sense of comfort and warmth as I confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. Although my stomach was still flat, I could sense that something was growing inside me, and my heart was filled with an inexplicable joy.
• With a smile on my face, I gazed down at my stomach and spoke with conviction, "I promise you that you will have the best life, even if your daddy doesn't know about you." Despite my lack of experience in raising a child and my unpreparedness for the journey ahead, I was determined to give it my all. I knew that it wouldn't be easy, but I was ready to take on the challenge and do everything in my power to provide the best life possible for my child.
