Chapter 35

• Selena wanted to stay awake during the night, firstly because it was difficult for her to fall asleep with everything that was on her mind at that moment, and that she had to think about, and secondly because she was worried, since Lord had not returned by that time. But the painkillers to soothe the pain in her palm were already taking effect and her eyelids were heavy. At least if she fell asleep it wouldn't be for long. She was used to taking really strong drugs and eventually her nightmares would end up waking her up.
• She had already nodded off sitting on the couch at home and although she struggled not to fall asleep completely she couldn't help it. Her eyes closed and she fell asleep. Just before sinking into unconsciousness a single name left her lips.
