Chapter 74

Gabrielle places the stethoscope on top of the little girl's chest as she commands her to breathe hard while listening to the drumming of her heart. The little girl sniffs as she looks at the doctor in front of her. Gabrielle looks at the angelic face of the little girl before she frowns and pouts at her, making her look away in embarrassment when the doctor catches her staring at her face guiltily. Again, the girl sobs as she wipes her cheeks with her mud-stained hands.
"Tsk.." Gabrielle tsks at her making her sob and pout, ready to cry again. Using her tears to tame the now upset doctor.
"Don't cry on me young woman..." she whispers taking the stethoscope off of her chest and detaching its earpiece off of her own ears.
