Chapter 61 Mariana
- I was curled up in my bed, a blanket pulled over my head. I didn't know what time it was or how long I had been in this position but I didn't care. I didn't want to see anyone or anything. I just wanted to be alone, to hide and disappear.
- Finding out the truth about Lorenzo had shattered me. When I saw the file in Margot's office, I still gave him the benefit of a doubt. I believed that maybe it was just Margot and Lorenzo had nothing to do with it but his reaction at his house said otherwise,he knew everything. I felt like a fool for trusting him and believing in everything he said. I had trusted him, I thought that maybe he had changed even if it was just a little but I was just decieving myself. I had been naive and now I know that I can't trust anyone in this place. Everyone was probably under Lorenzo's thumb.
- "Marianna, aren't you going to the club? We're going to be late." Janet called out.
