Chapter 51 Mariana
- Once I was in the room, I sat on the edge of my bed and all the panic an worry I had kept at bay came swarming in. I didn't know who to trust anymore. I trusted Lorenzo, I actually believed he loved me believed he cared but in the end I was here for a reason and I'm sure it wasn't anything good. But why was I here? If Lorenzo kidnapped for the reason I think then I should be dead or worse. Why didehe spare me? To make me suffer, to hurt me. That was probably it, that was why I was here. Death would have been to swift and easy, he brought me here to slowly kill me. A teardrop fell from my eyes and soon they were streaming downemy cheeks uncontrollably. I placed my hand over my mouth so no one would here my cry. My past was coming back to hunt me in the worst way possible. I laid down and the floor and kept crying until I couldn't anymore, my head was banging and my eyes felt swollen up. After I had calmed down I sat up from my position and tried to look for a solution, I needed to escape from this place. But who could I trust, now that I found out Margot was keeping tabs on me I felt uneasy. She wasn't always in the club so that meant there had to be someone she placed to watch me closely. Could it be Janet? Is that why she was released from the basement even though she shouldn't have been or could it be Samantha? Is that why she was so nice to me and was always around me. I ahted the fact I couldn't trust the people around me but I needed to think fast so I could get out of here and far away form Lorenzo as possible. I took in deep breaths weighing my chances, Samantha and Janet wanted to get out of here too so even if they were sent by Margot that wouldn't stop them from wanting to escape. So that's what I'm going to do, I'm going to talk to Samantha tonight to see if she has anything tonight cause I'm sure she wouldn't just stay still. I looked at the clock and saw it was 5 o'clock, I had been crying for hours onbend and the club would soon be fully opened. I couldn't let anyone see my like this, I quickly went to the bathroom and placed my face in a bowl of cold water, maybe it would help the swell around my eyes reduce a little.
- By the time it was 6 o'clock the swell around my eyes had reduced slightly and it would only be noticed if one looked closely, luckily the club was filled with nothing but neon and dark lights so I doubt anyone would notice. I changed into my uniform and headed for the club.
- As I entered the club, I could feel the bass of the music pounding in my chest. The neon lights were blinding, and the air was thick with the smell of sweat and alcohol. I made my way to the bar area, where I saw Samantha waiting for me.
