Chapter 40 Mariana

• I turned down an alleyway hoping to lose the guard. But as I turned the corner, I ran into a brick wall. I collided with it so hard that I lost my breath and fell to the ground, my head spinning. I slowly got up and tried to go the other way but I ran into the guard instead.He was bleeding form his shoulder but he had pulled the knife out.
• “You little bitch!” He screamed and walked angrily towards me. I was scared, my heart felt like it was going to explode in my chest. I looked around frantically, hoping to find some way to escape but I saw none, it was a dead end. The guard was already in front of me, he hit me across the face which caused me to fall on the ground, I felt dizzy. He picked me up aggressively and dragged me to the car. I was too weak to fight back, I felt light headed and blood dripped from the cut on my lips.
• The guard threw me at the back seat of the car. “Now you better sit fucking tight.” He said an went to the driver’s sit. The car moved and I just stayed in my position, tired and defeated.
