Chapter 26 Lorenzo
- The explosion was deafening. The whole club shook, and dust and debris filled the air. I was knocked to the ground by the force of the blast. When the dust settled, I looked around and saw that the club was in ruins. Margot's office was completely destroyed. I looked around for Mariana but there was no sign of her. I felt a surge of panic as I realized that she could be trapped under the rubble. I struggled and got up from the floor, a throbbing pain in my head. I felt dizzy.
- "Mariana!" I shouted, my voice hoarse from the smoke. "Mariana, can you hear me?" There was no response. I scrambled to my feet and started digging through the rubble hoping I'd find her. I dug for what felt like an eternity, until finally, my hand landed on something soft. I brushed away the debris, and saw that it was Mariana's hand. She was unconscious, but she was alive. I gently pulled her out of the rubble, and cradled her in my arms.
- "Mariana, can you hear me?" I said, my voice shaking. "Please, say something."
